In Memoriam

This page honors the Greek-American sons of Lowell who answered the call to serve. We remember the 42 local Greek-Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II, the Speronis brothers, longtime commander George ‘Tz’ Tzanetakos, and all those who have passed. Their names and stories will not be forgotten.

Many of these men served in the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marines during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and later conflicts. Their bravery and sacrifice helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today. We aim to collect and display photographs, military records, and personal stories of as many of these veterans as possible so future generations can learn about their service.
